Explaination of absence

Just thought I should mention that I recently started a temp job which is why this blog is not so much 'daily' any more!

I will try and get somethings up but it's likely to be a bit more infrequently.

Day 16

This is a set of houses on the Orchard Park Estate

Orchard Park at Dusk

I love the fact that the house at the end has decided to stick its nose up at the surrounding houses and go for a bright red door and large red and yellow house number!

This is the Corpus Clock:

an interesting clock

Turns out I got a good photo of reflections - pity I was aiming for a good photo of the clock!

Day 9 - Orchard park by night

The Premier Inn is the only commercial thing to have been built on the development.

I do wonder if they were aware of what colour the gels would come out when they picked "suprise purple"!

Day 8

The block on Orchard Park which includes our flat.

Orchard Park

The area to the front is currently open scrub land but I believe the plan is to build commercial/retail units which is what the development as a whole currently lacks.

Day 7 - An interesting bird

I'm going to take the unorthodox step of posting 2 photos today.

Firstly, a photo of nature working in harmony:

Here the Wood Pigeon feeds on the bits that drop as the Parakeet feeds.

Secondly, a close up photo of the Parakeet.

This is wild Parakeet - in North London!

Day 6 - cupcakes

A friend and I made cupcakes and were then let loose with icing and sprinkles:

Day 5

Impeller by Orchard Park Primary School

I'm not entirely sure what this is - it's designed to spin in the wind but seems to be mostly locked stationary.

I would like it to be some sort of turbine that provided power for the primary school near by; but it's probably not.

First photo

I noticed this whilst unpacking boxes. All I can really say is: removalman grammar fail.

So it would appear our lounge belongs to the Speaker - but is this the lounge in our old flat or our new one?

Daily photo challenge introduction

In an attempt to encourage me to do something other than unpack boxes after our recent move to Cambridge, my husband has challenged me to upload one interesting photo everyday.

(EDIT: I might not post on Sundays - will see how things work out)

I'm going to be taking a very wide interpretation of 'interesting' so some photos may seem to be quite random.

Hope you enjoy what you find here.
